This particular Jaguar was originally a Right Hand Drive 3.8 flat-floor E-Type that was converted by Dunford in England in 1998 into a Left Hand Drive racing-car.
The engine was tuned and the car was fitted with an alloy bonnet, alloy rear wheel-arches, alloy doors and an alloy hard-top. Of course also racing-specification wheels, brakes, close-ratio 4-speed gearbox, 3.77 rear differential with limited slip unit, racing-exhaust, LEDA adjustable suspension, Le Mans fuel tank, oil-cooler for differential and full roll-cage were fitted.
After winning overall in a National Historic Championship in 2002 the owner decided that he wanted this car to be even faster and so the engine was given to Rob Beere in 2003 to make it into a higher spec full-race engine.
At the same moment Dunford in England replaced the original steel monocoque with a full aluminium version.
After various races and a participation in the 2006 VdeV 6-Hours race at Estoril Rob Beere gave the engine a complete rebuild again in early 2007and some additional high-spec improvements.
Since that rebuilt the car has only participated in 2007 in 3 hill-climbs and in the 2007 Oporto 1-Hour Master race and the 2008 Nurburgring 2-Hours race.
It will come with recent FIA-HTP with bar-code.
