IFC finances private sector investments, mobilizes capital in the international financial markets, helps clients improve social and environmental sustainability, and provides technical assistance and advice to governments and businesses in the developing world.
The Infrastructure Department (CIN) is responsible for sourcing and executing investment transactions in the power, transport, and utilities sectors in developing countries throughout the world. The department also works closely with its counterparts in the Bank in providing policy-based assistance to governments. CIN is recruiting a senior/principal Power Engineer to provide technical advice and support to its investment staff.
The job holder will be based either in Dakar or Nairobi and report to IFC s Regional Infrastructure Manager for Africa based in Johannesburg, and to the Power Sector Manager in Washington.
